Welcome to the Madrid Chapter of 85 Broads!

One of 85 Broads’ most important goals is to reach out to women around the world. We are working to build a strong business and professional women’s network in Madrid. At the moment, we have yet to fill out some of the Officer positions. Hence, we are looking for bright, motivated 85 Broads members in Spain who wish to contribute to the establishment of the organization in Spain.

The GOAL of 85 Broads Spain is to create a network that invites each member to contribute and benefit from the collective knowledge of the group, creating an open forum of resources, advice, experience, and inspiration.

Our VISION is the empowerment of our members to achieve their full potential at every life junction, professional and personal, through support and counsel offered by their peers, the fruitful exchange and development of their ideas, and positive feedback found in an atmosphere of mutual respect.

We aim to create a flat structure, where each member contributes what she can, taking leadership and sharing the responsibilities of the group in order to create a non-hierarchical and vibrant organization.

Our STRATEGY: The umbrella of 85 Broads – Spain covering a diversity of vertical specialty groups, each lead by a woman who is an expert in her field. Within these groups, women can share their ideas and leverage each other’s expertise to create new projects and find honest advice. Within the broader chapter, each group will be responsible for educating the other members through events, workshops and mentoring on their particular area, holding informative sessions and aiding members of all groups when they need advice. In this manner, all members enrich their knowledge through chapter participation, benefit from the extended network, and gain access to professional and industry group expertise in a friendly and supportive environment.

We hope that this combination of a horizontal and vertical structures will lend 85 Broads Spain breadth and depth, allowing members to enrich themselves and others through in-depth knowledge of a particular area of work. 85 Broads Spain includes a number of “specialty groups”, such as:
