August Was A Smashing Month For Women In C-Suites, the NFL Gridiron & Olympics Pedestals

Wow.  What an incredible month August has been for women POWERING UP! and breaking glass ceilings to Smithereens.   The highlights for me included:

Female athletes at the Olympics -- led by American women.  As TIME magazine put it, "London exposed a fallacy: that women's sports are less gripping, less serious and less entertaining than men's.  The women have made glorious the Summer Olympics."

The Detroit, Michigan area, where I live, is home to the the largest Arab and Muslim population outside of the Mideast. Cultural differences, particularly around gender roles, are often at the heart of misunderstanding and discomfort many Americans struggle with.
