I am excited to share my takeaways after attending an amazing entrepeneurial conference and hope that you will take away something so that you can keep on building....

"I’m back in Chicago almost 72 hours after landing in Colorado for the sold-out 2011 Defrag Conference, Eric Norlin’s brainchild for where entrepreneurs flock to… Be. Better. Informed. Period.

No drawn-out panels for the 325 attendees. Rather, rapid-fire stories from high-profile speakers and side discussions focused on major themes in technology – big data, APIs, collaboration, company culture, what the future will hold, and what part will we play? The conference’s timing was perfect because it addressed how data across various social media outlets gets consumed and synthesized. And, I had live case studies - Penn State, Herman Cain, and even Colorado favorite, Tim Tebow - to apply my newfound insights.

No, we were not in Boulder, nor Denver, but smack in the suburbs of Broomfield. You have probably never heard of Broomfield, but it’s nestled right against the backdrop of the beautiful Rockies.

I was inspired by fellow entrepreneurs – both new and seasoned – who want to use technology to change the world.
