When I came up with the idea of writing a blog on the importance of “caring” for your employees as a leadership skill, it quickly became apparent that this was not some revolutionary idea. There has been a lot of talk around this topic dating back  to Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs research from 1943 to 1954.

My Reinvention

I have to be honest. I’ve not actually reinvented myself. Not yet, anyway. My outstanding accomplishment is that I’ve consciously invented myself for the very first time.

What does that mean? For me, it means that I am a person first. I’m a mom, best friend, sister, coach, teacher, entrepreneur, business advisor, avid networker, recovered accountant, athlete and volunteer. I’m living a full and rich life....
